Understanding moodboom
What is moodboom?
moodboom is an event app that brings the organiser and participants together in a dedicated space before, during and after an Event.
Is moodboom a social network?
No. moodboom focuses on the Events you take part in. It is not meant to create a general content feed or show you posts unrelated to your Events.
Joining an Event
How do I join an Event?
Open the link sent by the organiser, or scan their QR code.
Do I need to install moodboom?
Yes. The app is needed to take full part in the Event and use its features.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Creating an Account lets you take part in Events and later find the content you have access to.
Why is my phone number required?
It is used in particular to identify you and sign you in to your Account, in accordance with moodboom's terms and privacy policy.
Organising an Event
How do I create my Event?
In moodboom, fill in the requested details, then share the link or QR code that is generated.
Is my Event automatically visible to everyone?
No. Events are private by default. The organiser decides where to share the invitation.
Can I put the QR code on a poster?
Yes. An organiser can share the link or QR code on whatever materials suit their Event.
Can participants reply to the invitation?
Yes. They can answer Yes, Maybe or No.
Live and Memory
When does the Live start?
The Live opens at the start of the Event.
What can be shared?
The Live lets you share photos, videos, comments and reactions, among other things.
Does the organiser have to approve every post?
No.
What happens to the Event when it ends?
The Live closes and the Event moves into its Memory.
Does content disappear automatically?
Memories have no fixed automatic expiry, subject to the rules set out in the Terms and to the conditions of the plan in use.
Can I download all the photos and videos?
Yes, with the Plus and Pro plans: you can download the full Album of photos and videos from a Memory you have access to. This feature is not included in the Free plan.
Plans and privacy
Is there a free version?
Yes. moodboom offers a Free plan as well as the Plus and Pro plans.
Why does moodboom offer paid plans?
They fund the service and its features without building the business model around selling personal data or adding advertising.
Does moodboom sell my personal data?
No.
Is there any advertising?
moodboom does not add advertising designed to monetise users' attention.
